The Financial Play'd Project: the official version

The Financial Play’d Project is an initiative to benefit college financial aid resources and encourage the growth of original work among students and young artists. In the wake of economic recession, many institutions have lost funding needed to aid its less fortunate students as well as sponsorship for the arts. The Financial Play’d Project aims to promote the arts while supporting financial aid as an ever-crucial collegiate practice.

Our play, Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite, is a large proponent of The Financial Play’d Project. After receiving great acclaim from audiences in New York, Connecticut, and Missouri, we realized we could use the play’s success to support something we both care about. Under the Project, we are bringing Talent Nite to college campuses as a way to raise money for hosting institutions’ financial aid and/or student arts funding. At these institutions, we are working with student arts groups to make collaborative two-part showcases of Talent Nite and their original work, as a way to further promote diversity in student arts.
